There will be a shootout (a basketball one), on the night of Jan. 13 at the Walt Price Student Fitness Center, between the EvCC men’s and women’s basketball teams against their rivals, the Edmonds Community College Triton’s. Women’s tip off is at 5 p.m. , along with the men’s at 7 p.m. The event will be hosted by the Programs Board and EvCC Athletics. Tickets will be $5 at the door and students with their EvCC I.D. will have free entry.

During the 15 minute halftimes, there will be a chance for participants to shoot three-pointers. Each three-pointer adds one ticket to a bucket, where after ten minutes the Programs Board and Athletics will draw from, crowning a winner. The lucky recipient will receive a gift basket. In addition to this, if you bring a canned food item to the event, it will be donated to EvCC’s Food Drive, and you will receive a free door prize while supplies last.

There will be concessions available and free popcorn up until halftime during both games. There will also be EvCC Trojan Nation gear for sale, and the money will benefit athletic scholarships for EvCC students. Get ready for a night full of Trojan spirit.
