Men’s Soccer Playoff Preview: Round of 16
The regular season is over and the EvCC Men’s Soccer team has made the NWAC playoffs for the first time since 2012.
On Wednesday November 1st, the Trojans will play Columbia Basin at 2pm. The match, set to take place at Columbia Basin College, is a Round of 16, single elimination match and the winner will advance to the quarterfinals of the NWAC Soccer Championships. Waiting in the quarterfinals is West Region leader Highline Community College.

The Matchup
Regular Season Record:
EVCC 7-7-1
CB 8-3-1
EVCC finished the regular season in third place, clinching the final playoff spot in the NWAC North Region. Columbia Basin finished the regular season in second place, coming out of the East Region.

11 goals in conference play and 16 goals overall
Columbia Basin
Israel Gonzalez:
13 goals in conference play and 14 goals overall
Both team’s leading goal scorers finished the season in the top five for goals scored. Byrne finished second while Gonzalez finished fourth.
As a team, both EVCC and Columbia Basin have nearly identical goals per game. EVCC scored 2.29 goals a game while Columbia Basin has had 2.79 goals a game.
