A more recent find of mine is the Seattle band Alligators, their album “Piggy and Cups” is pretty “unexpected.” Every song has a different feel, but this album is great to listen to on sunny spring days.

I would recommend this album to Lauren Linvog because not only is it something new, it has an electro-pop influence similar to BØRNS.

My favorite tracks include “Where Does It Hide,” “If You Want To,” and “Be The Only One.”

For people who love Death Cab for Cutie like student Mackenzi Chapman, I would recommend the album “Wanderers” by Asthmaboy. This Seattle artist offers a somber melody with beautiful vocals, very similar to early Death Cab for Cutie.

Bonfire (Venus) features an electro feel that recent Death Cab for Cutie songs have and Benjamin Gibber’s other band The Postal Service has.

Another good track is “No Up’s No Downs (Moon),” listen to this while studying, or drinking a cup of tea.
