Things That Remain; Clothesline Project at EvCC
There is no age limit for those that are abused and surviving.
At the end of a busy school day, when all the laughter and students have left; these reminders of domestic violence are still here. The Clothesline Project is currently on display in the hall of the Student Union building and sets a sobering scene for anyone willing to take a brief moment to read what others in the community have been through. T-Shirts are riddled with accounts of both physical and emotional abuse but also of encouragement; one reads “You’re Awesome”. Next time you pass through the Student Union, take a few moments, read some of these testimonies and drop off items that are badly needed such as pots & pans, backpacks with school supplies, and blankets.
There’s still time to donate to a worthy cause.
Above all messages, STOP is one that is repeated over and over.
