Lunar New Year Celebration at EvCC
Lunar New Year is approaching. Want to celebrate it, but don’t know where? Don’t worry. International Club together with Chinese Club and Japanese Club will be hosting a celebration to welcome the Lunar New Year this upcoming Mon. Feb. 8, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Jackson Center Room 101.
“The Lunar New Year is a calendar based on the cycles of the moon. It is an important holiday in many of the countries our students come from … (we) wanted to create an opportunity for students to celebrate together and learn about how each country and culture celebrates,” said International Club’s Co-Advisor Ariana Stafford.
This event is free, EvCC students, staff, faculty and any community members are welcome to attend. During the 90 minutes, there will be free food, student performances, games and an exciting Taiko drum performance.
