ISIS claimed responsibility for the attack. Attacks against Coptic Christians have risen since 2011, the last being the Good Friday bombings that killed dozens.

President Trump signed a new travel ban on March 5, according to BBC News. The new ban places a 90-day ban on travel from six mainly-Muslim countries, removing Iraq from the list after additional visa-vetting measures. The fact remains that we are not immune to terrorist threats and that our enemies often use our own freedoms and generosity against us, said Department of Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly.
