Everett Community College Republicans
The College Republican National Committee, a political organization that started in 1892 at the University of Michigan, is coming to Everett on Thursday, Feb. 16 at 3:45 p.m. in the Club Hub.
Everett College Republicans is a new club advised by Steven Horn, a political science professor at EvCC. There will be food, drinks and free merchandise as well as College Republicans t-shirts available for purchase.
There are more than 250,000 College Republicans around the country on over 1,800 campuses.
The club wants to create intellectual diversity on campus- “a place where it is okay to have a different opinion,” said President of College Republicans, John Graves. “It is not a secret many college campuses across the U.S. have a liberal ideological bent. We want to show another side for students to go look into… because it seems (at the moment) there isn’t another side offered.”
