The New Mexicans
A Southwestern Flare
The restaurant is filled with smells of the famous Hatch chilies New Mexico is known for. Symbols of the New Mexican culture adorn the walls such as the road-runner, the state bird, and the Azteca Indians.
Hiding in plain sight is an authentic restaurant with southwestern cuisine. New Mexicans is located at 1416 Hewitt street Everett.
This newly acquired turn-key operation was purchased in Sept. 2016, approximately ten weeks ago, by Mr. and Mrs. DeSimone.
Crystal Handy, the original owner of the establishment, is from Hatch,New Mexico. Handy received these authentic recipes from her grandmother.
The flair of adobe brick buildings painted on windows with the sun and cactus helps you settle into this southwestern-style establishment.
Mrs. DeSimone said “All original recipes are still made every day. Every other morning my daughter Michelle and Daughter In-law Crystal, an EvCC Trojan, arrives at 7 a.m. to make homemade dough for cinnamon rolls, hot rolls, hot dog buns, biscuits, pecan pie, banana cream pie and Oreo chocolate cream pie.”
DeSimone said as she stand in the patio near heated table”when i was in banking, customer service is everything, and customer service is still everything.” In keeping with great customer service the DeSimone’s are offering the EvCC Trojan community a 10 percent discount, but you must show your ID.
