1st Annual Mentoring Conference Coming to EvCC
The 1st annual Mentoring Conference is arriving to EvCC in April. According to Alanna Yang, Associate Faculty, Transitional Studies twelve teachers, staff, and administrators attended a mentoring conference in New Mexico in October. This is what inspired them to create a conference to bring those skills back to campus.
“We would love to invite students to attend to learn more about mentoring through four breakout sessions during the day of the conference,” stated Yang. The conference will take place on April 15, 2016 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. It will take place here at EvCC over at Jackson Conference Center and Gray Wolf Hall.
Anyone can attend the event, however there will be a cost for registration, $40 person and $25 for students who would like to attend. The cost will cover continental breakfast and lunch.
