What brought you to the Clipper?
came to the Clipper to practice my writing skills, gain more industry experience and explore potential careers involving writing. I took a journalism class earlier this year and my professor recommended I join the Clipper.
When you aren’t doing things for the Clipper, what can you be found doing?
I am admittedly a bit of a workaholic and do my best to keep myself busy, either with my job or my own personal passion projects, which are mainly writing and photography related. In terms of photography, I tend to prefer night and landscape photography. When I do get time away from work, I can usually be found reading.
Which historical or fictitious figure do you most identify with?
To narrow down an answer to this question, I reached out to friends.
*dials old roommates phone number*
“Hey Matt, what historical figure or fictional character do I remind you of?”
“Donkey From Shrek.”
“Why?”
*roommate hangs up immediately*
Ok that wasn’t the best person to ask, let’s try my buddy I’ve known since high school.
*dials phone number*
“Yo Peter what fictional character or histor–“
“Donkey from Shrek,”
“I DIDN’T EVEN FINISH THE QUESTION!”
*dials another friends’ number*
“Hey Rachel, questi–“
“Donkey from Shrek.”
*she hangs up immediately*
I personally would say Junpei Iori from Persona 3, his character arc throughout that game reminded me a lot of myself in high school, and my mother says I remind her of Newt Scamander from Harry Potter–
*gets a phone call from my dad*
Huh, wonder what he wants?
“Hey Dad what’s up?”
“Just watching a movie right now, called to tell ya that one of the main characters reminds me of you.”
“Oh really? Who are they?”
“So there this funny donkey–“
