Keith Isum Art in Russell Day Gallery
The Russell Day Gallery has a new exhibit on display by retired EvCC professor Keith Imus from Feb. 21-March 17. The exhibit is based on Imus’ art created with acrylics, marble, bronze, oil paint, metal, numbers and words.
Imus likes to experiment with different things to make artwork. The retired instructor teaches and displays ink drawings and stainless steel sculptures.
Imus’s work has been displayed in Bellingham, Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles, New Orleans, Japan and Iran. The instructor has also written six books about his artwork and shows how to create art.
The Gallery will be open Mon.-Thur. from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
For more information on the exhibit, contact Greg Krammer at [email protected] or KeithImus.com.

A former student of Keith and John Simpson—I’m an 85 yr. old lady, still doing and selling work, thanks to the two of them. Currently represented by River Gallery, LaConner and MoNA each June in LaConner, as well. It seems I was one of their “older” students—being in my 40’s, and I am thrilled to know that the two of them are still making art, as well. Fond memories of critiques of stick drawings on newsprint—all thrown on the floor—my first experience with live models—my chagrin of being one of about 5 in the class who were not highschool grads. Soon found out it made no difference about age….Art has no boundries, and indeed reminds me of jazz. You either get it or there’s no explaining to get you there. Fondly–Rita
