EvCC Hosts All-Spanish Family Night
Many students struggle with gaining support from their families when continuing their education. This may not be because their families are against furthering their kids’ educations but because of a language barrier.
On April 12 starting a 5:30 p.m., EvCC is hosting a Family Night at the Jackson Memorial Center featuring presentations only in Spanish. This is an event targeted to families with students in high school that would like to learn more about EvCC and the programs this campus offers.
Students and families will have the opportunity to learn about how to pay for college, earn college credit in high school and how to get started. Current EvCC students will also talk about their experiences at EvCC.
This event is family-friendly and will have childcare available to help parents focus on the presentations. It is asked that families RSVP for childcare at 425-388-9973. There will also be mariachi and refreshments available.
