In a VP staff meeting at 9 a.m. on Oct. 6, 2015 it was revealed that EvCC has signed a 20 year lease for property west of Starbucks. Pat Sisneros, EvCC Vice President of College Services, revealed plans for approximately 120 units distributed across three houses. The units will be singles with a little over 200 sq. feet and EvCC has set a goal to have them up by Sept. 15, 2016.

Past that, in summer 2016 EvCC plans to knock down the current student housing complex, Lona Vista, to build a new complex. This will be dorm style housing with up to four bedrooms in each unit. They are planning for 125 beds and to have this complex up by Sept. 15^th 2017.

In total, these plans should create about 240 new homes for students. The Clipper continues to follow this story so expect updates soon.
