Sometimes choosing which hike or trail to go on can be overwhelming. Living in the Pacific Northwest provides hikers with an abundance of options.

Jeanne Leader, Dean of Arts and Learning Resources at EvCC, is a passionate and experienced hiker. She is a hiker that loves challenging hikes. Leader was interviewed and her favorite hikes were Rainier Burroughs and Mount Sawyer. A few tips she advised for beginners is to never go hiking alone,  be helpful and talk to people on your trip and always let someone know you’re out hiking. Leader also advised to bring supplies such as water and the right gear, start with a hike that is enjoyable, try a new hike each time, and last of all, don’t listen to music while you’re hiking.  Here are some beautiful hikes and trails near EvCC that would make your fall complete.
