EvCC to Host Third Annual RISE Conference

The RISE conference is a student-led annual conference that stands for Resilient Intellectuals Seeking Equity. This year’s motto is “Where are we today? Creating a better tomorrow.”

The conference will take place from 8 a.m.- 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 2. Check-in starts at 7 a.m.

Through education, social consciousness, student leadership and empowerment, this conference hopes to inspire students to ask critical questions.

At the conference, students will have the opportunity to find themselves in a safe place that will allow them to gain and explore skills. These skills are aimed towards students moving forward in social activism.

There are 300 slots available for students in higher educational institutions to come together and network. The conference is free to EvCC  students with an ID, and $25 for other students. To register online, search for the RISE conference on the EvCC website, or go to http://www.everettcc.edu/calendar/2015/12/rise-conference.
