Reflecting on the sacrifice of Yvette Wallace.

Veterans, students and faculty alike gathered around on a regular Northwest Nov. 10th day; rainy and overcast with yellow ribbons in tow.

The ribbons are adorned names of Veterans, past and present from military conflicts ranging from WWII all the way up to Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom.

These small symbols of respect and admiration, clutched in the hands of those attending, are held close while the Veterans Assistance Program Manager Arlene Cahoon says a few words in the honor of those that have served on foreign soil in defense of this great nation.

The small evergreen tree that once was unnoticed is now a flutter with nearly a hundred or so yellow ribbons with names such as Yvette Wallace (U.S. Army), Casey Talbot (U.S. Navy) and Victor Langarica (U.S. Army).

Delicious cakes and coffee was provided after the ceremony.
