John Paul and the Apostles Lead singer Tyson Lee sings his heart out into the mic at Saturday night’s Living Room Coffee House show.

Punk bands and church owned coffee houses, a perfect pairing. On Sept. 24 local radio station KSER and the Stereo Wire, hosted by Henry Yarsinske Jr., previously The Clipper Editor-in-Chief in 2013-14,  held an indie punk show.

Four local bands, spanning from Marysville to Seattle, played from 6-10:30 p.m., Saturday night at the Living Room Coffee House,1212 State Ave., Marysville.  Opening the show was John Paul and the Apostles followed by Greet the Sea. The Home Team played their set before the last band of the night, Right Your Wrongs where Henry filled in for their missing bass player.

The headlining band, Right Your Wrongs, is from Seattle and is classified as an unsigned pop punk/alternative group consisting of 4 members. Originating in October of 2010, Right Your Wrongs has released three songs that are all available on Bandcamp at http://rightyourwrongs.bandcamp.com/album/investments.

Another band who rocked was The Home Team. They are  from Seattle and consist of five members. You can find their two singles, and an EP on Bandcamp at http://thehometeamnw.bandcamp.com/.

The last two bands are smaller. Greet the Sea has four members, and John Paul and the Apostles has three. Although John Paul and the Apostles is the smallest of the bands, they have one full length album entitled “Emily” which can be purchased on their Bandcamp at https://johnpaulandtheapostles.bandcamp.com/.

Being the newest band, Greet the Sea has a total of two released songs which are not available for purchase. You can listen to their singles on their Soundcloud at https://soundcloud.com/greetthesea.
